Configuration

There are a number of items that need to be configured. The main configuration is performed by editing global.conf. This is a plain text file and can be changed with any editor. If you plan to use email notifications then this file must be updated with your local information, otherwise it may be used as supplied.

The messages issued by SFTPPlus can be routed to a number of destinations, and this can be based on message severity or controlled for individual messages. This file as supplied is suitable for most cases.

Transfers are defined with individual configuration files in the conf directory. Each transfer requires its own configuration file and matching inbox directory. A sample (sample.conf) is provided, which is disabled. It is recommended to make the configuration file name match the inbox directory name (eg for sample.conf use directory inbox$\backslash$sample), but this is optional.

The service must be restarted to pick up any configuration change.
